Stay tuned for more art elements braided into text over the next few months. Of ART’s seven elements (line, colour, form, shape, space, texture and value), LINE best exemplifies book’s illustrator, Stephen A. Corcoran’s bold style and the story of his late-life redemption.
Creating the three strands of the braid are firstly, poetry; secondly, art; finally, a Kauai jam-tasting celebration. LINE thus morphs into TEXTURE and FORM at Monkeypod:
“Monkeypod Jam works with over 25 Kauai farmers to create 55 seasonal preserves. Monkeypod is deeply committed to Kauai agriculture, green practices and impeccably high preserving standards.” From https://monkeypodjam.com
